Dog Food You Make Yourself

American dogs, like American people|Dogs, like people|Dogs, just like other pets}, are often carrying too much weight. They may live contentedly with their owners, but the vast majority of dogs are less active than they should be and eat less healthy food than dogs did only 10 to 20 years ago. Illness, expensive veterinary care and shorter life spans are the result.

Many people feed their dogs special diets after they determine what foods their dogs need to eat, both for regular meals and for special treats. Homemade dog food allows them to be sure that they are feeding their dogs the food that they need to stay healthy and strong for a long time to come.

If you decide to make your own dog food, you will want to decide whether to feed raw dog food or home cooked dog food. This must be done carefully as learning how to make homemade dog food can be harmful to your dog if you do not do use appropriate dog food recipes.

Dog bakeries are popping up in some cities. These bakeries may produce treats that can be eaten by humans as safely as by their dogs. Dogs are even invited to come in and taste the fresh baked treats to decide which treats are favored. This ensures satisfaction for both owner and pet.

Whether you decide to go with homemade dog food recipes or not, make sure you know the facts. Your dog’s needs are not fancy - he needs healthy food, water, exercise and rest to keep him in great health. Don’t forget that we are supposed to be our dog’s best friends, and we need to make the right decisions for them.

Decorating with Striped Rugs

With varying sizes of stripes and different elements of color, striped rugs can go a long way in setting the overall theme and tone for a room. Presently, a modern rug pattern with big stripes makes a contemporary look. Furthermore the smaller the room you are decorating, large bold stripes have a more substantial effect. When someone has decided to use a striped pattern it is important that other pieces of furniture in the room have a more understated, or modern area rug look due to the boldness of striped patterns. Integrating to many patterns into a room can create an overly “hectic” look.

Lastly, and most importantly is the color scheme of the striped rug that you select. A general rule of thumb for modern tibetan rugs is to select a color combination that mirrors that of the existing colors in the room, or compliments those colors. Some striped rugs have a very bold color combination with contrasting colors. This type of pattern can work well but only when the existing pieces of furniture in the room are monotone and have subtle, understated colors.

With some ingenuity, you can break up the look of any room in your home using area rugs. The more difficult task is to choose the right rug to go with the decor of the room. Area rugs, in addition to being the starting point of the good design of the room can also finish it off well.

Controlling your ranking flow for more profits.

In my last post I had a section regarding on page SEO and in particular some information on controlling how ranking is passed from a website. When you have learnt how to control your ranking flow, it just a matter of change a few links to sky rocket your affiliate money income.

The ranking or authority of a website is determined on such aspects as popularity of the website (amount of traffic), number of income links and their quality, number of pages and on page SEO factors. Before I carry on, when I talk about ranking I am not referring to google page ranking, I am referring to the general ranking of a website for all search engines.

As all search engines have their own algorithm’s for ranking websites and unfortunately they don’t share that with the general public, it is impossible to determine exactly how website ranking is worked out. The only thing that is known for certain is onpage SEO, incoming links and amount of pages of a website, play a big part in a websites ranking.

The ranking of a website is probably the most valuable asset to a site owner, it can mean the difference between making a fortune on the Internet or just making some pocket change. Why is it so important? Well the ranking determines where a website is displayed in the search engines, a better ranking equals better placement and in turn better placement equals more clicks.

Like I explained in the previous post, imagine a website main webpage is a bucket which is filled with ranking from SEO effects and there are holes at the bottom of the bucket were the ranking flows out. As ranking is such a valuable asset it’s wise to direct the ranking to were you want it to go by blocking off those holes were the rankings not needed. I am talking about such pages as contact us, terms and condition, disclaimer, category pages, terms of use and pages along those lines. As those kind of pages are designed to improve the customer experience they won’t need SEO on them, so why waste the precious ranking on them.

The two methods I am going to use to control the ranking flow on my website are the html statement ‘nofollow’ and robots.txt. Both of these methods are very simple but very powerful in helping search engines figure out how you want them to see your website and were to direct the ranking.

The ‘nofollow’ statement tells the search engine to ignore the link it is associated with and not to pass any ranking through it. It was first created to help tackle spam comments on blogs but was quickly taken up by website owners when it became common knowledge that it was significant in controlling the flow of ranking on a website.

robots.txt is used to control the spiders that visit a website. A large part of a website traffic comes from programs called spiders, these spiders are used by thousands of companies for many different reasons on the Internet. So if a website is just left open for spiders they can eat up the bandwidth, slow a site down, look at and log information which a site owner may not want to publish and at the very worse mess up a site completely. How does robots.txt help with ranking control? Well it can be used to block off areas of a website were site owners don’t want the spiders to go and by doing so stops the flow of ranking to those areas.

The two methods above are not difficult to implement and are a good way to control the flow of ranking on a website, yet so many website owners overlook this when designing their sites. Having the power to shift ranking around a website will enable a site owner to rank the pages of their choosing with a lot less work and hassle.

Why you should buy a dog collar.

Why Does Your Dog Need a Collar?

Of course dogs need collars for safety. Without a collar you wouldn’t be able to attach a leash or identifying tags and you wouldn’t be able to restrain your dog when necessary. A dog collar also identifies your dog as owned by someone and not a stray. There are many kinds of dog collars to choose from, but what kind do you need? And how do you choose a good one?

Three Kinds of Collars for Dogs.

There a three basic kinds of Dog Collars to choose from. Standard collars buckle on using metal buckles, usually come in solid colors and are made of woven nylon webbing because it’s durable. These are utilitarian collars and are often used on hunting dogs.

Adjustable Dog Collars are very popular and are made with plastic buckles. They snap closed, and are very easy to put on and take off. If you choose an adjustable Dog Collar you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of very cool colors and designs. They are very popular and commonly are available with a matching Dog Leash.

Finally you can choose a Martingale Collar which will slip over your dogs head and tightens slightly when pulled. These collars are excellent for escape artists as they are more secure on leash walks.

Choose a Well Made Collar

You can find many excellent choices on line and invite you to visit our web site at Sylvans.net. We’ve been making dog collars for over 20 years and we have an excellent reputation for quality. Regardless of where you purchase your collar, look for a buckle that is strong enough to hold your dog and be sure get a collar that is neither too loose because it might slip off, nor too tight because it might choke your dog. You should be able to insert at least two fingers between your dogs collar and his neck for a comfortable fit.

The Island of Zitny Ostrov - Slovakia

Ranging from Bratislava to Korman in southwestern Slovakia, Zitny Ostrov (Rye Island) is Europe’s biggest river island. It is so big that most tourists are not aware of being on one. It lies between the Danube, and its slower running tributary the Little Danube, in the Danubian Plain.

Several rivers flow across it and the dark alluvial deposits make it the most fertile land in Slovakia. The island also contains central Europe’s largest storage of high quality potable water and it has the warmest and least humid climate in Slovakia.

A beautiful area of marshes, natural and man-made lakes and rich farmland, the south has been deemed a Protected Landscape. The still waters of the Little Danube provide excellent boating through the alluvial forests. While on the water, the controversial hydroelectric dam at Gabcikovo may also be visited.

Zitny Ostrov has two main towns, both of which have deep Hungarian influences. DunajskA Streda has a majority Hungarian population, though the only reminder of a significant Jewish minority is a 1991 memorial. There is also signs of Bronze Age settlement here.

In the late 1990s the town centre was rebuilt with distinctive white buildings topped by towers and elaborate tiled roofs. A large thermal park offers year-round bathing in geothermal heated water.

Komarno, Slovakia’s main port, lies on the Hungarian border — a bridge leads into Hungarian Komarom, which used to be part of Komarno. Here two thirds of the population speak Hungarian and the street signs are in two languages.

Europe Place is a large shopping and tourist centre built in a variety of European architectural forms. A native son of Komamo, Franz Lehar, is honoured with a biennial music festival, whilst the annual Komarno Days Festival celebrates Slovak and Hungarian culture.

1920s Hairstyles

During the early 1920’s there began a transition from the long-hair styles of the previous decades to the newer short-hair styles like the bob. Although early 1920’s bobbed hairstyles were very plain and straight and almost masculine in style, the bobbed hairstyles of the late 1920’s and early 1930’s were much more stylish and feminine. Due to their increasing sophistication, bobbed hairstyles increased in popularity through the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. Some of the more popular and attractive shorter womens hair styles from the 1920’s and 1930’s are currently experiencing a revival as modern hair stylists look back in time for fresh ideas and inspiration from the innovative and beautiful short hairstyles of this trend setting era.

Hairstyles like the Bob, finger wave, Marcel wave, and shingle were the most popular hairstyles of the 1920’s with numerous variations of each. Some hairstyles only had a short time in the limelight before they disappeared forever. Barbers and hairdressers competed with each other to get business from women seeking to shed their long hair and obtain the latest hair fashions.

1920’s movie stars and other celebrities were early adopters of the new shorter styles. Their celebrity status ensured that that the new styles received maximum publicity and in turn were eagerly copied by their fans. The high cost of permanent waves when they first became commonly available did not put off women seeking a more permanent hair styling treatment.

Short hairstyles became increasingly popular as the 1920’s progressed, with long hair giving way to the new hair fashions. Although considered very radical by many in the early 1920’s, bobbed hair quickly became the desired standard for young girls and young women in their twenties, but was also very popular with middle-aged women in their thirties and forties. The original plain bobs eventually gave way to much more attractive shingled bobs or incorporated waves and curls using sophisticated cuts to add style and interest. Early critics predicted that bobs would be a short-lived fad that would last a couple of years at most and were surprised to find that they continued to grow in popularity well into the 1930’s. As it turned out, the huge popularity of bobbed hairstyles for women became a major revolution in womens hairstyling.

Online revenue Simple Not Easy

One of the simplest and most overlooked aspects of online marketing is that it’s not complicated. Or more to the point,, there are many “gurus” who try to make it complicated. Aside from whatever motivation they might have to do that online profits occur from one simple equation –

Traffic + Conversion = Sales

– performed over & over again

There are MANY ways to get traffic (visitors) to your site and cause them to take some action or “convert,” which will either result in more leads or (less frequently) result directly in more sales to your business.

So here’s the other simple rule — you only need to master 1 or 2 traffic methods and 1 or 2 conversion methods, and you will make money. When you drive you only need to know two pedals, and you don’t need to know EVERYTHING about internet marketing in order to add revenue to your business.

With that in mind, there are a few basic traffic techniques I’ve implemented in some of my sites and client sites that have universally and consistently WORKED. Here are a few of those methods — but remember, you only need to pick one or two:

Traffic Generation

1) Twitter — highly effective for targeting your niche and developing the conversation with your customers and prospects. In fact, it is second to none. However, most businesses don’t know how to use Twitter effectively. They spam with “sales tweets” — “Look at the cool new thing I’m selling.” The 80/20 rule is highly effective — 80% of your tweets should be about something interesting, funny or otherwise engaging… a question of the day like “What’s for lunch?”… anything to get people talking, laughing, thinking… Also, keep it consistent and be generous with re-tweets. A few tweets a day go a long way toward establishing a rabid list of followers. The wrong thing to do is to Tweet like a madman for a day or two and then disappear for a month. Or worse, don’t reply when someone direct messages you or @messages you. That’s like ignoring someone at a dinner party when they ask you to pass the gravy. You WON’T get any dessert.

2) Video marketing is a very fast way to rank your site and get lots of inbound traffic. Keep your videos consistent — don’t show up one day in a baseball cap and dark lighting, talking about the rain, and another day bouncing in a jungle gym screaming about business leads. Consistent message, consistent tone, consistent look & feel. Also, be sure to put a call to action in your video’s description, as well as the full URL of your website’s landing page, and use appropriate keywords.

3) Article marketing is an evergreen method for outstanding traffic generation, with one HUGE caveat — mix it up! Putting the same article on 400 article directories will get you nowhere fast. You will get a bump in traffic from all the inbound links until Google figures out they’re all the same article and basically count it as one link. There are content spinners out there that alter the content of your articles automatically, but you have to be very careful here as well. Most content spinners change a word or two to replace it with a synonym, or they mash up the article randomly so the output is basically junk that cannot be read. It has to pass human review. So if you’re looking for a quality content spinner, ideally you want to be able to change the entire sentence many times throughout the article, and then have it spin those into hundreds of different articles. That’s the professional way to do it. At the bottom of your article, have a call to action in the information field; a blurb about you (the author) and a link to a free guide the reader can pick up at your website.

Visitors Taking Action

1) Keep it simple. The landing page has to do ONE thing — get people to ACT. For this reason, it’s been called a SINGLE ACTION PAGE. Pear it down to the bare essence of what you need the visitor to do. Consider placing a video on the page with a very simple message, “Hey thanks for stopping by for my free whizbang. Just type in your first name and e-mail address and I will rush it right over to you. In just a moment after you send your information, you’ll get an e-mail with a confirmation link. Click that link and I will instantly send your free whizbang.”

2) Direct, direct, direct. Notice the video script in #1 above — see how we instructed the user on exactly what they need to do? And then we told them what to expect next, and what they would then need to do. And we closed with a reminder of the benefit — the free whizbang.

If you have trademarked the term “whizbang,” then I apologize in advance. ;)

3) Test, test, test. ALWAYS have two versions of your landing page operating at one time. You can optimize your landing page using freely available Google tools in the Web Optimizer toolbox. You really can’t go on “gut” here — the data will be you every single time. Even on PPC ads, we have literally seen the addition of a question mark in the ad increase conversion by 16.8% So test, test, test.

Conclusion

These methods work on any business in any industry. Here is some social proof –

Local landscape designer increased her traffic by 7,342% (yes seven thousand percent)

  • Local artist went from three visitors a day to an average of 41 visitors a day
  •

  • International digital publisher had zero e-commerce and started converting 16% of all traffic to revenue within 72 hours of implementing one traffic strategy and one conversion strategy
  •

  • Changing a landing page to a simple design on an e-book site turned conversion from an anemic two sales per week to eight sales a day — on the same traffic.
  •

I hope this helps your business. The average business fails to do what it takes to drive traffic or achieve conversions to their website. While they exercise 20-30 traffic methods on average, they don’t do a single one effectively.  There are many sources online to learn about effective marketing strategies, including free resources and some almost-free, like the definitive guidebook  750 Ways to Get a Visitor to Click on You.

Do-it-for-you solutions are also available; experience guides the appropriate strategy for the website and market. The biggest challenge business owners face is knowing which strategy to implement. Experimentation can be very costly in terms of time and lost sales… The key is to find a reputable marketing firm that offers a full range of customized services as well as downloadable products and courses to assist every website owner at every budget level.

Cozumel Island - Mexico

One of Mexico’s biggest islands, Cozumel, is located 20 km (12 miles) from the mainland, and 60 km (36 mi) south of Cancun. It’s a flat, limestone island in the shape of a handgun, and punctured by dozens of cenotes (water-filled sinkholes), many with their own marine life, which are an extra attraction for tourists and marine biologists who come to experience the island’s beautiful offshore reefs.

Jacques Cousteau first popularized Cozumel in 1960, when he identified Palancar at the island’s southern tip as one of the world’s best diving locations. He triggered a growth in tourist development, only reined in with the establishment of the National Marine Park in 1996: but the reefs were badly damaged by the deepwater piers built for cruise ships to bring new tourists.

Attitudes changed quickly. Cozumel’s new islanders (the 40,000 Maya who welcomed Herman (’Stout’) Cortes in 1519 were reduced to 30 by 1510, and Cozumel became uninhabited) realised the value, not just of their spectacular marine wealth, but also of the island’s unspoilt centre.

You’ll never get a better chance to appreciate Mayan culture so close to good beaches. The biggest Mayan site, San Gervasio (named much later), was for centuries sacred to lx Chel, the goddess of fertility, and one of the Yucatan’s most important sanctuaries. There are several others, recovered from jungle and swampy mangrove lagoons now teeming with cormorants, pelicans, primary-coloured tree frogs, iguanas and crocodiles.

These days, the duty of collective care is replacing the ecological mistakes of the 1970s. You can see 250 species in its clear waters, including the bright blue-and-yellow queen angelfish, the toad fish (unique to Cozumel), and enormous sponges like the barrel and elephant ear, which grows to 3.6 m (12 ft) across. Cozumel is fabulously pretty and exotic, and you should go there with someone you love and watch the sunsets.
