Sound

Ultrasonic inspection of parts requires transmission of sound waves above human hearing range through the material. By the reflection technique, a sound wave is sent from one part of the piece, reflected by the other part, then signalled onto a receiver that is located at the beginning area. Upon impinging on a flaw or failure in the material, the signal is reflected and its movement adapted.
